This allows the pilot to fly using the aircraft’s instruments as the sole reference in cloud or at night.
Minimum requirement:
- 40 hours instrument time, which will include 10 hours minimum on an IFR flight plan.
- 3 exam passes – Instrument Law,
- Instruments and Navigational Aids,
- Instrument Flight Planning
Students can complete their instrument rating (IR) in either single engine (SEIR) or multi-engine (MEIR), most students combine the multi-engine rating with the instrument rating (MEIR)
