Night Rating:
Night ratings are ideal to see our country once the sun has set. Scenic flights around Auckland City are included with the ratings along with how to take-off and land at Ardmore at night.
Minimum requirements:
- PPL Night Rating – 5 hours night flying (including 2 hours dual)
- CPL Night Rating – 10 hours night flying (including 4 hours dual)
Aerobatic Rating:
For this rating the student must complete an aerobatic ground course. The flight training will be carried out until the appropriately qualified instructor considers the student competent in all aspects of the aerobatic training. There is no minimum hour requirement but the rating is normally completed within 10 hours. The aerobatic rating is completed in the C152, the Slingsby Firefly or a Citabria.
Tail Wheel (Dragger) Rating:
The flight training will be carried out until the appropriately qualified instructor considers the student competent in handling and landing the aircraft. This rating can be completed using a Citabria.
