THEORY

The Auckland Aero Club offers ground courses for all six PPL subjects. Each course is held in the Auckland Aero Club lecture room, two nights a week and runs for approximately three months.

The following subjects will be covered as required by the CAA.

  • Aviation Law and Publications
  • Flight Navigation
  • Meteorology
  • General Aircraft Technical Knowledge
  • Flight Radio Telephony Operators
  • Human Factors

If you are unable to attend the night course there are other options available. These can be discussed with your instructor.

If a lesson is missed or a topic not fully understood, an instructor can be booked to help you.
